Findmypast is free during every England World Cup match. All records available using their Full subscription (including the 1911 Census) will be free: Living Relatives searches and Memorial scrolls are not included. So, if you don’t want to watch the match, get researching!!

I have decided to delete the ‘Latest News’ items from the front page of the Williams Family Tree website and report everything in the Blog instead.
The database was blocked due to “high resource usage” and I fear the culprit was my little ‘ticker’ in the W-F-T Toolbar so I have disabled it.
As you may be aware, the costs of GRO certificates will rise from £7 to £9.25 on the 6th April. Costs haven’t risen for some years but an extra £2.25 on every certificate. That’s a whopping 32% rise. GRO produces 2 million certificates a year, so that’s 4.5 million extra profit in one swoop. 90%
