He was born in Bolton, Lancs, not Scotland, his father was Scottish. He moved to Burton On Trent where he married my grandma Elsie Parker in 1921, he was 63, she was 23, he died in 1923, which she was very relieved about as by all accounts he was a miserable old devil.
He was not the William Davidson married to Rachel, that William was a cotton spinner
