From the 1841 Census (HO107 Piece 1429/12 Folio 10 Page 12), Ann(e), 11 is living with her parents, John, 45, and Mary, 34, in Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. John is described as being an Ag(ricultural) Lab(ourer) and of being born in the same county as the Census (Merionethshire). Mary was not born in the same county she was born in Cardiganshire). Ann(e) was born in the same county as were her siblings John 6, Owen 3, Lewis 1, Jane 12, Susan(nah) 8, and Ellinor 5.

From the 1851 Census (HO107 Piece 2485 Folio 427 Page 13) there was an Ann Williams, 21, from Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales, working as a Domestic Servant, at Glanpaith, Llanbadarn, Cardiganshire. She was working for a John Thomas Herbert Parry, 50, a Solicitor from Aberystwith, and his wife Mary, 47, from Houghton, Montgomeryshire. The couple had three children; Elizabeth Esther, 10, John, 9, and Philip Arthur, 5. Visiting the abode was Sarah Phillips, Annuitant from Llwyn, Laura Sophia Hughes, 15, Daughter of the Reverend John Hughes, Vicar of Llanbadarnfawr, Cardiganshire. They had three other servants; Elizabeth Morgan, 23, House Servant, Margaret Davies, 22, Dairy Servant, and Hugh Jenkins, 28, Groom.
