From the 1841 Wales Census for Llanfihangel Genau'r Glyn, Cardiganshire (HO107 Piece 1372 Book 17 Folio 7 Page 5) Eliza, 3, was with her parents David, 30, Mariner, and Ann, 30, in Morfa Borth, Genau'r Glyn, Cardiganshire, Wales. With her were her siblings Anne, 7, and John, 5. Everyone was recorded as having been born in Cardiganshire, Wales.

From the 1851 Wales Census for Aberdovey, Merionethshire (HO107 Piece 2495 Folio 220 Page 2) Elizabeth, 11, Master Mariner's Daughter, was with her parents David, 43, Master Mariner, and Ann, 44, Master Mariner's Wife, at Glyndwr, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With her were her siblings Ann, 16, Employed at Home, and John, 14, Master Mariner's Son. Everyone was recorded as having been born in Llanfihangel Genau'r-Glyn, Cardiganshire, Wales.

From the 1861 Census (RG9 Piece 4240 Folio 73 Page 2) Elizabeth, 22, a Milliner, was at home in Alma Terrace, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With her was her 6 month old daughter Ann Elizabeth and a 13 year old General Servant by the name of Elizabeth Davies from Llanfihangel Genau'r-Glyn, Cardiganshire.

From the 1871 Wales Census for Aberdovey, Merionethshire (RG10 Piece 5602 Folio 37 Page 34) Elizabeth, married, 32, from Borth, Cardiganshire, was in High Street, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With her were her children Ann Elizabeth, 10, Scholar, Mary, 8, Scholar, Margareta (sic), 5, Scholar, Lizze (sic), 4, Scholar, and Owen, 1. All the children were recorded as having been born in Aberdovey, Merionethshire. Also present was servant Elizabeth Davies, 22, General Servant from Borth, Cardiganshire. Visiting the family were her brother John Davies, 35, Master Mariner from Borth, Cardiganshire, sister-in-law Amelia Davies, 25, from Carnarvon, nephew David Davies, 4, Scholar born Aberdovey, Merionethshire, and niece Jane Ann, 1, born Carnarvon.

From the 1881 Census (RG11 Piece 5478 Folio 50 Page 21) we see that the family have moved to Church Street, Towyn, Merionethshire, Wales. Elizabeth, 42, a Sailor's Wife was still the head of the household as Captain Owen was busy in Milford Haven aboard the 'Olive Branch'. With her were her children Annie Elizabeth, 20, a General Servant, Mary, 18, a Dressmaker, Scholars Owen, 10, David John, 8, Susannah, 6, and Jane Ellen, 4, along with Thomas Owen, 2, and my Taid, John Davies, 2 months.

Elizabeth, died in 1882 and Captain Owen's ship the 'Olive Branch' is referred to on her gravestone in Maethlon (Happy Valley) cemetery.
