From the 1871 Census (RG10 Piece 5602 Folio 27 Page 14) Frances Ellen, 2, was living with her mother Ann, 30, a Seaman's Wife, in Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. Her father was aboard the schooner Gratitude. With her were her siblings Lewis, 9, and Eliza Anne, 5.

From the 1881 Census (RG11 Piece 5478 Folio 56 page 1) Frances Ellen, 12, was with her parents, Lewis, 40, a Master Mariner, and Ann, 40, at 3 Prospect Place, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With her were her siblings (Eliza) Annie, 15, Evan Jones, 9, and Susanah Margaret, 5, all Scholars. A Visitor to the home was Evan Jones, 42, an unmarried Schoolmaster from Newquay, Cardigan whom I assume was Fanny's uncle.

From the 1891 Census (RG12 Piece 4373 Folio 48 Page 38) Frances E(llen), 22, a Confectioner's Assistant, was living with her mother, Ann, 50, a Greengrocer, at 26 George Street, Newport, Monmouth. With her were her siblings Lewis, 28, Evan J(ones), 19, and Susanah M(argaret), 15. Also staying with them was John Eddins, 41, a Railway Engine Driver from Malvern.
