From the 1851 Census (HO107 Piece 2484 Folio 441 Page 9) Ann, 9, was with her mother Ann, 40, Mariner's Wife from St. Dogmaels, Pembrokshire, at 2 North Terrace, New Quay, Cardiganshire, Wales. With her were her siblings David, 13, Evan, 12, and Eleanor, 7, all Scholars.

From the 1861 Census (RG9 Piece 4191 Folio 3 Page 8) Ann, 19, was with her parents John, 54, Mariner from New Quay, Cardiganshire, and Ann, 50, from St. Dogmaels, Pembrokshire, at 14 Mariner's Road, New Quay, Cardiganshire, Wales. With her were her sister Eleanor, 17, and nephew Evan Thomas Jones, 7 months.

From the 1871 Census (RG10 Piece 5602 Folio 27 Page 14) Ann, 30, a Seaman's Wife, was living in Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. Her husband was aboard the schooner Gratitude. With her were her children Lewis, 9, Eliza Anne, 5, and Frances Ellen, 2.

From the 1881 Census (RG11 Piece 5478 Folio 56 page 1) Ann, 40, was living with her husband, Lewis, 40, a Master Mariner, at 3 Prospect Place, Aberdovey, Merionethshire, Wales. With them were their children (Eliza) Annie, 15, Frances Ellen, 12, Evan Jones, 9, and Susanah Margaret, 5, all Scholars. A Visitor to the home was Evan Jones, 42, an unmarried Schoolmaster from Newquay, Cardigan whom I assume was Ann's brother - he also appears on the 1861 Census (RG9 Piece 4203 Folio 7 Page 8) as a 22 year old British Teacher staying at Penlan, Tregaron with farmer Isac Davies and family.

I make the assumption that Evan Jones is the wifes brother so I give her the surname Jones!

From the 1891 Census (RG12 Piece 4373 Folio 48 Page 38) Ann, 50, a Greengrocer, was living at 26 George Street, Newport, Monmouth. With her were her children Lewis, 28, Frances E(llen), 22, a Confectioner's Assistant, Evan J(ones), 19, and Susanah M(argaret), 15. Also staying with them was John Eddins, 41, a Railway Engine Driver from Malvern.

From the 1901 Census (RG13 Piece 4957 Folio 172 Page 5) Ann, 60, a widow, was living at 8 Daniel Street, Newport, Monmouth. With her were her children Evan J(ones), 29, a Foreman Painter(?), and Susannah, 25. Boarding with them was John F Davies, a Drapers Assistant from Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
