Improved Individual Display

I have added extra Census information to the Individual pages. This information is a display of the household that is very similar to that displayed via the Census Links. This extra information remains hidden from normal view but, like that of the Personal Details, can be viewed by clicking on the Plus icon next to the Census Heading. For example, you may come across something like this: 7 April 1861 England Census Show Details and clicking on the plus icon will display the complete family record for that Census. This has the advantage that you can view all of the Census information for that individual on one page by ‘opening’ all the tags.

This addition meant that the overall display got rather crowded and so I have changed the display to a single column. I think the Individual page now looks a lot better than before but, as ever, I welcome your opinion – either by email or by comments in the Williams Family Tree Blog.

I have also added a method of jumping directly to an individual from any page that looks something like this:

Help Find ID
Jump to individual

If you want to display the Individual Page for a new person, enter the ID of that person in the box. The ID value must start with the letter I or there will be unpredicatable results – I’m still working on it!

If you don’t know the ID of that person, use the Find ID link.

If you are logged in and you are a member of the Williams Family Tree you will see the ID of the person chosen as the Root for the various tables etc. has already been entered for you. This value can be changed via the Change Details page.

I hope these changes make for a better viewing experience.
